Centre For The Arts Releases 2013-14 Schedule

Milton Centre For The Arts is celebrating its third season with the release of its 2013-2014 schedule.  Its “highlights booklet” contains a little of everything for the arts & culture lover.

The Milton Film Forum returns with its first movie on September 4 at 7:30 pm
.  All shows are in the Mattamy theatre; tickets are $9 each or $29 for a four movie package, and a full season is $56.  The Film Forum has added a documentary series, which, kicks off September 18, 2013.  Tickets for that are $7 each; 4 movies for $25, and a full season for $56.   This year marks the first ever Milton Film Forum taking place over January 11, and 12 next year.  Tickets are $11 each with a full weekend pass fitting in at $69.

Milton Concert Presentations starts its series October 4, 2013- April 25, 2014.  The first is with Vienna Here & Now featuring Allison Arends and Maestro Kerry Stratton. Tickets for all concerts are $42 for adults, and Seniors at $37. All concerts take on Fridays at 8pm in the Mattamy theatre.   Their Christmas show is December 6, 2013.

The second annual Mayor’s Gala takes place on January 18, 2014.  This year’s theme is Vegas, featuring Matt Dusk.  Tickets are $125 each which include a gala beforehand and as well as the main show.  This season’s other concerts include Quebec Artist Roch Voisine, alternative Rock band Sloan, and Guitarist Jesse Cook.

This year Mary Walsh visits the Mattamy Theatre October 10, 2013 with her “Dancing with Rage” show.   Ted Outerbridge brings his magic show for families.  Other highlights for families include The Snail and The Whale, and The Very Hungry Caterpillar.  Babies are welcome at all family shows, however they must have a ticket.
